Russian fairy tales are a genre of Russian folklore and an important element of national history. They always carry something educative in them which is often disguised under a light and unpretentious narrative.

Thanks to fairy tales, children discover the world around them, get acquainted with the concepts of good and evil, justice, honor and conscience. For many generations of Russians, the way of thinking, the fantasies, the view of the world and the understanding of one’s place in it were formed thanks to fairy tales.
